Mr James Cameron Island May 10th 1865
Ploughing Looking for the young Ram all Day and him in with the sheep the Black lamb Dead Tom crofsed with the 2 Canoes
11th Ploughing Raining went to Fish EEls got 2 Wind Raised as usual Fixing the Brush Fence some planted Corn before the old House about 80 Hills of Yellow corn sweet corn or sugar Corn about 40 hills took 2 currant Bushes on the 10th
12th Went for a Plant at the head of the Island ploughed some Tom Tried the Perch to Bite got none Finished Reading Paul Clifford Fixing a Whippletree snow on the Mountains 3 Propperllors after one another the St Helene chasing the Huron My Horses very slow to work they want a Driver none too Fat Plenty Good Hay not any oats
13th got 2 eels in the Mud Tom and I Dan came Blistered his hands not Being accustomed to Row
14th Sunday Dan Went off
15th Sowed 2 1/2 of Pease Foggy this Morning Tom set his line set mine Broke Lost 30 Fathom of it got 3 Perch for the First Tom Caught Harrowed the Garden Made holes for the Corn
16th Planted 300 hills of Corn Put Manure on them Planted Pumpkins Pat & Charlie here Charlie Brought a Hen for eggs as he has no Ruster Mr Streeter & his Brother William who is very Poorly along with him Gave him 3 Rats Thunder Foggy Pat Brought Livinia 1/2 lb Tea some crackers Gordon Charlie Pretty well to Do washed 6 peices for Pat caught 4 Perch Left his Dog the hen off her nest A Hatching
17th Made a Fence Behind the shed put out 4 Loads of Manure some on the corn and potatoes a Load in the Garden very fine and then turned very cold Gomprey up first got eating of Perch Tom got a Pickeral

19th Tom Setting his Lines Mosquitoes commencing
20th Digging the peice Behind the shed at the Pig Pen Fishing caught a Pickerel
