December, 1926.
1 Wednesday. Cold. Snowing & storming. Walter was one of the scrutineers at the polling booth at Floradale. Vernon & Ella took him over this morning and Earl got him tonight We roasted the drake and Earl & Ella were here for it. The Conservative Government Control forces won the election by a large majority. Too bad!
2 Thursday. Clear and very cold. Several degrees below zero this morning. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. Emerson, Addie and the children moved up to Hilbert Reists farm yesterday.
3 Friday. Milder. Snowed quite heavily. Walter went to Alma this morning with Earl Miller and bought 2 pigs from Geo. Bender. This afternoon we butchered a small pig for ourselves.
