JULY. - 7TH MONTH. 1881.

18. MONDAY. [199-166]

Built all the fences around the hay field that is cleared to let teh cattle on. I got them in at noon. Afternoon cut thistles among potatoesthen finished summer fallow. Cleaned of greit * {unknown word} up potatoes got through at dark. George Moselw si coming to mow tomatoes at 1 pm. Cool evening brew very windy for some days back.

19. TUESDAY. [200-165]

Father adn Willie went away to Tara Mill G.M. I ground scythe + Masted in Oneevest filled 8 aacres new land.. Cut up 9 cooks of it at night. Had cow in ground this morning. I got her waway before noon & I was glad Old Joe was Om Grath Bravo.

20. WEDNESDAY. [201-164]

Thunderstorm this monring but little rain, it went away round south. Cleaned out driving, the floor & ground poylthe. Mowed 3 or 5 swaths before dinner. Afternoon cooking up 13 cocks & mowed 6 swaths beofre set. G. Morden was in afternoon.

21. THURSDAY. [202-163]

Moved little apples time got finished but have some fence coners yet. Evening up 11 cocks. It takes a guat amount of raking to geta cock, this year. There is nearly sacredor the flied that we have not mowed it beign so I should by point.

22. FRIDAY. [203-162]

Raking up what we cut yesterday & mowed some in the buoh where the fired beamed. It was the best grass we cut this year. Afternoon drew in 3 loads 4 unloaded in table one on bash for the night. Cloudy morning but clearedoff before noon.

23. SATURDAY. [204-161]

St. James. Cut Orchards & fence corners then hwoing turnips tills dinnertime. Afternoon baked & gathered hay but moh & fence corners. Caughts hoses took load round to stalk and loaded it then draw in the load out of bush & out of orchar. We have got through haying for another year. 17 loads in stable loft & 4 in log barn. 21 in all. M. Amader for 4 days $4.35. Cut & haying $12 probably. The hay is well saved this year but other than last. We had 38 loads last year.

24. SUNDAY. 6 after Trinity. [205-160]

Our sabbath lchord had to be given up for a few weeks on account of a few being fervalent in the district. Father was requested to conduct service at the funeral of J. Chalmer's daughter to day at North Deily. I was along with team attended Church afternoon.

But rejoice in as much as ye arepart after of Christ sufferings;
