could go on boat to Toronto on Sat. In after noon Had Mrs Jones & Mr Stuart for tea. I went out to milk & walked on over to Kennedy berry patch just coming away so as Dave saw me he came over to me with a big plug hat on. He ready to go to station so hadn't time to talk much. I only wanted to see his face to see if he looked Happy!
Wed 31st..
Thur Aug 1st.. Picking in A.M. Ada Shaw came in P. M. Jennie Wild & Mount's Wife called & we waited tea till they went It very late tea Marlon came in eve. B4 we had tea over. No singing & I played mouth organ. Had a quiet time Dick called for them about 10. & drove them home.
Frid Aug 2nd.. Picking they Ida & I doing Sat. work Folks drove up to Alfs in P.M. Dave came over we dressing to go over to their place. but looked like rain so we talked to D. I just felt like shaking him so shook him in hammock & found pipe in pocket he said it D. Brays Got talking as usual & didn't know when to stop. I waiting to see if he would be manly enought to tell me about B & himself but he didn't until I let him know I knew. Guess he afraid I go back on him cause I had to give him an answer in a months time. But when I told him what I heard He denyed it & said I'd never see the day when he would Marry B. Dorland. Before he went he rather gave in that their was something between them but not soundly. He wanted me to just be the same to him as I had been. I told him what did he want to be trifling with her affections if he didn't intend anything He said he just going to have some fun now. But guess he just fooling me. I talked pretty plain to him. It struck me B4 he left.
Sat Aug 3rd.. / 89. Up 6 Got ready & E.M. drove Ida & I down to Oakville to go on boat. Had a lovely sail. But steam pipe twisted
