June, 1928.
23 Saturday. Sultry & threatening. Walter & Vernon went to Elmira this morning. Walter was drawing manure this afternoon and visited Sam Umbach tonight.
24 Sunday. Fine warm day. Walter, Ella & Vernon went up to Grandpa Krauter's today for dinner We were expecting Colson's from Kitchener for tea but they didn't come. John N. Miller died at Elmira yesterday after a brief illness.
25 Monday. Dreary, changeable day. Ella was hoeing in the garden all day walter was drawing manure and Vernon was plowing summer fallow Edward and Miss Donaldson walked to Creekbank this a.m. Herman Becholdt and Grandpa Krauter called on Walter tonight.
