Thursday 18th. Snowing and blowing not very cold. Father came home. Getting out sleigh stuff. Chopping. Phil to post Office.
Friday 19th. Cloudy and fine. Fred to village pocket stuff 2.6 d. Paid to Postmaster 3 on paper which was not due and 1 d on neighbours papers and self 1 d ordered oil can after sleigh.
Saturday 20th Cool and cloudy. After sleigh getting 11 bags of Swedes home cutting firewood Phil with oxen to Stuarts drawing barn logs.
Sunday 21st. Cool and cloudy, snowing and blowing later in the in the day: 8 pounds of tallow from Turners by Iden Goble paid for us before mentioned.
Monday 22nd. Blowing hard from the west, with snow. After sleigh Boys doing odd jobs. Father started for Kincardine
Tuesday 23rd. Very cold wind west, but not much of it snowing gently all day. Phil drawing barn logs for Stuart. Chopping etc.
Wednesday 24th Cold and snowing. Chopping.
Thursday 25th. Cold and fine, chopping etc.
Friday 26th. Wind in the north cold in the afternoon storming. Chopping.
Saturday 27th. Cold storming in the after part of the day. Shelling corn grinding. Chopping fire wood. Chopping. Phil to Kennedys. soap 1.6 1/2 d. soda 3 d. Pair of ? from Oden Goble 13 shillings.
Sunday 28th Fine and cold. cloudy in the afternoon
Monday 29th Snowing went to Kennedys 115 pounds of flour 19. 5 1/2 d.for Month. Sleigh? skirting 1 shilling paid. Shelling corn.
Tuesday 20th Snowing and blowing all day, milder. Shelling corn.
