Friday 2nd Mild and snowing wind south. Chopping. Robert suffering from a sore on his thigh.

Saturday 3rd. Mild but dull. Chopping. Father out in the afternoon. Robert confined on account of his thigh.

Sunday 4th. Mild with strong wind from the south west, very pleasant.

Monday 5th. Morning, extremely warm rain thunder and westerly wind in the afternoon and night. Father Robert and Fred chopping. Me and Phillip to the Mouth, 102^1/2 pounds of flour one axe and 1 pound of Sulphur 16..8 d and 6.10^1/2 d. Bottle of Turpentine 1.10^1/2 d. Key for Staple of one yoke 3 ^1/2 d. thread 7 ^1/2d Received note from Town clerk.

Tuesday 6th. Morning cool wind north. Chopping drawing fire wood. afternoon Robert cutting fire wood.

Wednesday 7th. Morning cool snowing during chief part of the day. Chopping in the morning. fixed the sow house in the afternoon, grinding coffee splitting fire wood. Began the last bag of flour.

Thursday 8th. Cool and pleasant in the morning. Storming in the afternoon. Borrowed some lumber of Iden to form a threshing place. Father Robert and Fred Chopping. Phil with me chief part of the day but went to Kennedys bought 2 pounds of soap @ ^1/2 d.
