Sunday 18th Dull and cool
Monday 19th. Dull wind in the north west very little of it. cold. Chopping.
Tuesday 20th Cold clear in the morning, warm sunshine during the day. Chopping.
Wednesday 21st. Cloudy in the morning but cleared out a warm sunshiny day. finished chopping the piece that was underbushed previous to the last underbrushing.
Thursday 22nd. Dull and cold. Chopping in the morning but came home on account of the cold. Getting fire wood in the afternoon. Phil went with Salter for his things to John bulls corners.
Friday 23rd Very cold with sunshne at intervals. Cutting fire wood. Fred to village 7 of soap, 2..10 d paid. J. Goble putting hoops on Stuarts churn 71/2d. New churn for Mother. Myself in house all day with bad cold.
Saturday 24th. Very cold wind from the west snowing slightly. Went to Turners got 103 lbs of flour 15 shillings Got parer for Axe 7..6 d. Turner and me square Robert and Fred after fire wood.
Sunday 25th. Cold with north westerly wind and snowing at intervals.
Monday 26th Cold with westerly wind snowing at intervals. Got one load of sweeds into cellar cleared dirt out of pigs pen. We have not been able to chop on account of the wind and cold. Began the last bag of flour
Tuesday 27th Cold sunshine in the forenoon but dull towards night Chopping.
Wednesday 28th Cold fine and pleasant: chopping. To Iden Goble mending Phillips boots 3..9 d not paid.
