wind. Dull all day. snowing in the morning. Logging.

Tuesday 8th. Morning cold with rain and sleet. Father Robert & me leveling earth in the clearing. Fred and Phil cutting fire wood etc. In afternoon logging, finished between Stuart and us. Afternoon evening rather milder.

Wednesday 9th. Sharp, white frost last night. Mild and pleasant all day. wind north. Leveling and burning rakins raking tend log fires clearing stumps of drawing fence stakes, dragging etc.

Thursday 10th. frost last night. fine and warm all day. Robert away to Hilkers raising. Father levelling, Fred raking, Phil dragging. Cleaning wheat and getting fit for sowing, spread ashes. Robert sowed some flat Dutch cabbage seed and Salsify.

Friday 11th. White frost. Fine day dull and show of rain towards night. Sowed 3 bushels 11/2 Racks? of wheat and some Timothy seed. Phil dragging in the morning, I made a drag. Father, Robert, Fred, leveling, burning etc.

Saturday 12th. Fine and dull raining slightly in the first of the morning. Sowed the Timothy seed between Stuart and me. drew logs off land and spread the ashes. Father Fred and Robert planting pease in the afternoon. Phil dragging sower some wheat.

Sunday 13th Morning fine. dull in the evening with rain at night.

Monday 14th fine. Father and boys finished planting pease and ploughed some carrots. Phil dragging sower some wheat cutting short stumps close to the ground. Me and Robert made a hen house. Old hen hatched 7 chicks.

Tuesday 15th. Very warm with strong wind from South West and South in the afternoon and evening Thunder with heavy showers of rain: Sower some wheat this morning. Phil dragging. Father and rest finished sowing carrot seed and commenced planting potatoes.
