Tues. 22nd/ 84. Oct. We washed. Ida birthday she went over to keep on fire for E.W. at Brodericks. S. & I picked grapes 9 baskets. I sewing. M.W. damping clothes when Max came & M.W. made me change my dress & I just done so when he went. I gave him some grapes.
Wed. 23rd. / 84 Pa went to Oakville. Flurry bustle to get S & Ida over to Brodericks & I ate part of breakfast & got their dinner set up & then ate some more & strained milk & got Pa his bkft. I did some house work & picked grapes & help pack for 12 train. Late getting dinner. I picked sage & beans & seen 3 fellows go down road & they came in our field then seen one & got out & I went to P.O. the way I was. I sewing still.
Thur. 24th Oct. Us girls printing labells {labels} & then S. & I picked snow apples. Us girls out topping mangels & it very cold & windy. Mrs. Williams here. It come as such a snow storm & continued till after dark, such hurrying every body hopping & freezing & getting things covered up. I milked all alone.
Frid. 25th/ 84. Churned. Ada Mc here & I sweeping all morning & I did dishes & then hurried to P.O. & got letters for S. from Annie. Us girls out topping mangels & came in at 4.30. & S. & I write letter to Annie & I did work & finished print dress.
Sat. 26th. Annie birthday. Did scrubbing B. 4. dinner
