Current Page Transcription [edit] [history]

Mrs. Haumore was in the office on Monday. She says a lawyer was put in penitentiary for 15 years for doing what Charles did. She also said he was just shoved through college & then they sent him up to the back woods and she promised to pray for Maledictions on his head unto the 3rd & 4th generations. She also stated that I said on the street that my husband would not write a letter for less than $1. She is about as big a fibber as they make them and the worst client Charles has ever had.

Thursday Oct. 14th.

Beautiful day. Typed Terms of Settlement in Hessenauer v. Thede for Charles & a Memo for Mr. Perdue before getting ready to go to Walkerton. Left for W. at a quarter to 9. taking Mrs. Tuer with us. Mrs. Ruer and I walked around Walkerton, had ice cream at {Erdmards'?} etc. Were to start home at 11.30 but Charles not through as had
