Current Page Transcription [edit] [history]
First applicant for Miss Pearce's place applied to-day. Mr. Caldwell does not seem to be particularly impressed by her appearance. Decision to wait until we give two other applicants the "once over." Nice day. Thawing a little. Mrs. Ryan has gone to Walkerton with Mr. Hauser, Mrs. Green, Mary & Jimmie to see Mr. Green. Wrote to Dorothy & Clare. Mrs. Ryan got back about 5 p.m. She did not see Mr. Green who is quite weak & who really seems not to want to see his family. Charles' temperature started to rise so phoned the doctor. He had been lying on sofa in library since 11 a.m. Got him to bed and Dr. Rannie came up. Then I went down for some medicine.
Friday Nov. 19th.
Nice Mild day. Charles in bed. Temp. 101 in the Morning. Kept rising and reached 102 4/5 by four o'clock. I shovelled the sidewalk from the gate to King's lot. (past). Attended to Charles. Went down for the Mail. Shovelled walk about 5 p.m. up to {Grofskis'?}.
