Just missed the bus so had to take the Mail to the station for the afternoon train. Had to write a letter for Charles after tea and also wrote to Miss McEachran. Called at noon to enquire how Mrs. Leitch was. She fell over a book in the dark on Friday night after getting home from the Scotch supper and cut and blackened her eye badly. Just missed losing her eye. Feeling better now. Wrote to Miss Small and Miss Ward.

Tuesday March 1st.

Very mild. Thawing all day. Was at office all day. Went to bank twice & to Post Office with Mail. Strenuous day. Quite tired at night so did not go to Bible Society Meeting with Charles.

Wednesday March 2nd.

Paddled through pools of water to-day almost to top of rubbers. Just like spring. Spent the day at the office. Strenuous. This being Allie's birthday Charles and I walked up after tea. Isabel out to
