1920.

Quite frosty again to-night so still sleeping inside. Blanche Gillies called in the afternoon.

February 23 (Monday)

Mild day but snowing hard. Just after I started to shovel out the sidewalk. Must have snowed an inch to-day. (More than that) Mrs. McGregor came to wash 1st time she has been out washing since she hurt her ankle. Instead of arriving about a quarter past ten or later she astonished us by appearing about ten minutes past nine. Did some work for Charles in the Morning. Went down town and got some card and paper to do up Dorothy's boxes of 'eats'. Got 2 boxes ready. Walked down with Charles to carry one to Post Office while he carried the other. Wrote Dorothy a letter. Went on down to the office to get Mail. Came home and shovelled the walk. Practised for an hour. Read The Globe. Played for Charles an hour in the evening. Slept outside.

February 24th (Tuesday)

Worked for Charles all morning. Practised two hours altogether. Did some Short-hand & some French. Went out in the afternoon. Somewhat
