very fine address. He came back from China with Tweet Dickson and thought very highly of her. At the close of the banquet Mr. Jno. Oswald and Mr. J.C. Milne announced their intention of giving $500 each. Called into Tuers on the way home to deliver part of their goods we carried up.

May 11th Tuesday.

Went down town for meat and to get my Oxford stretched. Went up to School room with Charles to take down flags and then to office for parcels. Wrote an article on the banquet and one on Miss Meuser's Recital for the Enterprise and took them down and went on down for my oxford. Typed 12 copies of Dorothy's poem "The Day sleeps and awakens." Mr. Tuer came up for a little while with a list for Forward Movement returns Which are now $6500. Wrote to Dorothy and to Mother. Practised for about half an hour. Fine day but wind still cool.
