Saturday Aug. 7th.
Worked at My centre-piece. Went up for the Mail with Clare. Tom, Jack, Charlie, Nell, Duncan, Doug and Julius went fishing. Clare, Alice, Margaret, Jean, and I went in for a dip in the afternoon. After tea Alice and I went for a walk away down the shore. Very hot day. Spent an hour & a half waiting for a phone call & then cancelled it.
Sunday Aug. 8th.
Very hot. We walked up to the big hill about 6 miles by the time we got back. Went to church. Mr. Campbell preached. Thunder storm while we were there. Ferna Halliday was there. (Staying with the Davies' for a few days) Mrs. Struthers and Mr. Ede Sang solos at church. Had a Swim before breakfast. After dinner sat out behind clump of bushes in front of Charlie's with bunch of both families.
Monday Aug. 9th.
Men decide to go on fishing trip so great scurry getting them ready. Had my morning swim. Went to dock to see them
