S. 1st. Salter half a day plowing for the two pigs Odd jobs.
M. 3rd. Salter all day plowing for the pigs. Getting out the head and tail pieces for gates. On the 24th of June, Haydens cow to Bull. Fred went to Brickers Robert draging.
T. 4th. Myself working on the Road. opening a ditch from the Goderich line Varter helping me. Robert 1/2 day at Hugoes lowering.
W. 5th. Myself helping C F S. to cut Hay. Robert fetched our grist home from mill. Clemens cow to Bull. Amy cow of a Bull calf.
Th. 6th. Myself & Varter ditch making. Salters cow to Bull.
F. 7th. Myself helping C F S. with his hay. Hayden a pig.
S. 8th. Sowed the turnip seed on the new ground. Father a me at C F S. making hay 1/2 day each.
S. 9th. Mr Davids cow to Bull.
M. 10th. Father all day making hay for C F S. One load of hay of C F S. weight 1000 lbs. Robert and myself fetched it home and cleaned up the barn. Robert posted a letter to Mr A Delf. Cutting grass.
T. 11th. Cutting grass. Father commenced to hoe corn.
W. 12th. Fixing gates (2) planted out some Beet plants. Robert to Shells raising this afternoon.
Th. 13th. Robert myself and C F S. with his and Roberts teams hauling barn timber. Father at Idens this afternoon he owes Iden five and a half days work still.
F. 14th. Robert myself and C F S. with teams as yesterday, hauling barn timber half day. Got our hay housed. two small bargans of it. Then fetched a load of posts.
S. 15th. Cut Rafters etc.
