August

T. 1st. This morning C F S. with his team and myself went to the Gore and got out six rafters and a pole. Varter came and helped us to carry them to the road. this afternoon fixed the poles across the plates and flatting and framing rafters, George all day.

W. 2nd. Worked at the barn George also. George Mogg a cow to bull. Richard Hayen a heifer to Bull.

Th. 3rd. Workeding at the barn Georg. also. Hayden a heifer to the bull. Mr. Goble Killed Amys calf. Varter and Robert traded lambs Varter took two home and C F S. will feed Roberts for him a while longer.

F. 4th. Making shingles in the forenoon and working at the barn in the afternoon. George also. John Davidsons 43 lbs of flour. John Davidson commenced to cut Roberts fall wheat which he has to finish for 100lbs of flour. Mr Goble sold Roberts calf in Port Elgin. cleared 17 lbs of veal to pay Mr David for that which we had of him this weight is according to his steelyards and is one lb. too little.

S. 5th. Working at the barn all day C F S. and George helping. J. Davidson cutting fall wheat.

M. 7th. Making shingles, George 1/2 day shingling.

T. 8.th. Ditto-------------------. George whole day -------. John Davidson cradling.

W. 9th. John Dvdson finished the wheat. Making shingles C F S. took away a wagon box full, for the barn roof. Father half a day a Idens helping with the Barley.

Th. 10th. Making shingles. C F S. a load away. George shingling.

F. 11th. Making shingles. George shingling. Father at C F S. loging. Robert commenced to cut peas this afternoon.
