M. 2nd. Splitting rails, and commenced to build fence. Robert Staffords cow to Bull by Bill Clemens.
T. 3rd. Making fence. Robert commenced road work.
W. 4th. Making fence, commenced planting potatoes in the Gore. Robert working on the road. C F S. heifer to bull.
Th. 5th. I went to work on the road. Robert hauling rails, Father planting potatoes.
F. 6th. Working on the road, Robert amongst the rails and Father planting potatoes. Planted beet seed in garden.
S. 7th. Father finished planting potatoes, self building fence splitting rails etc. Rob. getting out rail timber.
S. 8th. Hayden a cow to bull.
M. 9th. Hayden a cow, J Goble a cow to bull. Father and Rob. on the road, self rail splitting, fence making etc.
T. 10th. Robert working on the road finished our work for this season. Hayden a cow to bull. Bought of E. Gordon 1 spade 1.371/2 c. and one grass scythe 1.121/2 c. on A/C.
W. 11th. Father to Zants raising, Robt plowing, Commenced cutting grass yesterday afternoon and continued at it today. Omitted on the 10th, Two pigs to John Davidson at 75 c. each 1.50 for which he will split some rails at 50 c per hundred.
Th. 12th. Finished cutting and hauled two loads of hay. Robt plowing.
F. 13th. Pick Nick: hauled two loads of hay.
S. 14th. Tom Mogg brought a cow to bull either for Eby or Bower. hoeing turnips. Robert finished plowing at the Gore.
S. 15th. Mr. D David had the bull in his pasture ?
M. 16th. Hoeing turnips, sowed turnip seed at the Gore half sweed and half aberdeen. Father draging at the Gore.
T. 17th. Hoeing turnips.
W. 18th. Yesterday and this morning planted out cabbage plants and sowed late seed.
