September
S. 1st. Robert and myself went to C F S. and hauled in one load of peas for him. Robt. and self plowing rest of the day. Father 3/6 of a day thrashing peas for Stuart.
M. 3rd. Father and myself thrashing for Eby half a day. Thomas Cummings' cow to bull, binding oats.
T. 4th. Hauling oats.
W. 5th. Father and me thrashing at Salters 1/2 day. Father half day at J. Gobles thrashing. Finished getting up Oats.
Th. 6th. Robert & Father half day helping J. Goble to get his straw into the barn. Draging.
F. 7th. Plowing. Salters little red cow a second time.
S. 8th. Robert and myself plowing.
M. 10th. 18. Bushls. & 10 lbs of Fall wheat of James Stuart, by my steelyards. Lent Eby some salt. Robert plowing, Father and myself cleaning wheat etc.
T. 11th. Thrashing and cleaning spring wheat for a grist .
W. 12th. Wet to mill with a grist, borrowed of C F S. 13 Bushls of Oats. 94 lbs of oats for Varter of C F S. J. MacKintosh made me four hooks and eight bolts in all 75 cts.
Th. 13th. I owed 51/2 acres 8 or 9 bushls of wheat on 5 acres of land. and draged it once. Father half day thrashing for J. Stuart. Robert and his oxen half day helping to haul barley for C F S.
F. 14th. Draging in wheat, & plowing.
S. 15th. Plowing, finished. Robert & his oxen Myself and oxen and Father half day hauling in peas for C.F.S.
M. 17th. Draging Robert & Father thrashing for C F S. Thomas Cummings heifer to bull.
T. 18th. Father helping C F S. to thrash peas. Sowed the last of our fall wheat some of it over a bushl and a half per acre and some a little under.
