Gate making & plowing in the orchard. Craigs cow to bull. Our Amy took.
Th. 16th. Finished plowing in the orchard and Father rolled the plowed land.
F. 17th. Diging around the apple trees and stumps. Father draging.
S. 18th. Planting potatoes, planted about three Bushls. in the orchard soil kidney, Reindeer, round, white and peach bloom.
M. 20th. Yesterday by the hand of Mr John Goble recvd. of Duncan Lambert eight Dollrs as per A/C. Composting, and pouring liquid manure over the garden etc. This morning Mr. J. Goble altered the lambs, pigs and Bulls.
T. 21st. Trimming the sheep. stumping etc. Sowed Tobacco seed. Shelled my seed corn.
W. 22nd. Old sow to boar, Paid Gordon for Clover seed half a bushl. five dolrs. bought me a jack knife 25 cts. and paid for the same at Gordons.
Th. 23rd. Cleaning out the stable.
F. 24th. Composting, hauled some compost out for corn, and planted four rows of corn and two of pumpkins. Sold George Roppel a pig and received the pay for the same $1.121/2 cts.
S. 25th. Hauling out compost, and planted some corn and pumpkins. John Davidson had my cattle to haul out wood for half day. Fred was teaming.
M. 27th. Hauled out compost. John Davidson my oxen 31/4 of a day as above.
T. 28th. Wet all day.
W. 29th. Planted corn in the afternoon. Salter four little pigs.
Th. 30th. Finished Planting corn, beans and pumpkins. Father & Robert to Whetstones raising. Composting
F. 31st. Father Robert, and me to Whetstones again. Insured again with the Beaver agent. plasing.
