May
W. 1st. Plowing. Father leveling around the road.
Th. 2nd. Went to mill with corn to be ground. Took a bag ?page torn Mrs. Izzard's which we brought home in place of one of our own which we have yet to get. plowing. Robert, Father & Fred pulled down the root house.
F. 3rd. Tried to empty the water out of the cellar. In the afternoon went home with Mr J. Gobles roll the hung the cattle to the plow and finished the plowing for spring wheat, cleaned up the wheat and commenced sow. the same.
S. 4th. Attended the funeral of Mrs W. H. Ruby. Wet windy.
M. 6th. Finished sowing spring wheat, sowed half a bushl of clover seed on the same field. Also sowed a small patch of flax seed. Rosa cow took again.
T. 7th. Took some old iron to Robert MacLachlin 58 cts. brought back a plow share. Robert was not at home so I did not get a settlement. for 45 lbs. of this iron. I am indebted to Bro Fred. Wet did a little in the garden.
W. 8th. Gardening, planted some currant cuttings, and some onions, Father hoed around the apple trees. Omitted last Monday 1 Dozen Fish of Iden 15c on a/c.
Th. 9th. Sowed Beet seed, and carrot seed, finish planting Onions.
F. 10th. Gardening, planted vine and sowed lettuce seed. Father draging, half day, wheat for C F S.
S. 11th. Gardening, Father 1/2 day as before for C F S. Part of the afternoon plowing for potatoes in the orchard and part of the time rolling wheat. 11/2 dozen Fish of Iden.
S. 12th. Robert Happy of two lambs.
M. 13th. Rolling and fixing a new tongue into the same. Cleaning out the on stable etc. 1 dozen Fish of Iden 15 c.
T. 14th. Wet. Getting out stuff for gates. Made a gate for Schwendkers place.
