M 4th. Received a page book from Mr Ruby with the amount I have already had from the store therin entered. Paid Mr J. George the Sum of fourteen Dolrs. on his old A/C due him yet 1.22 cts. A pair of shoes to Mrs Davidson $2.00 Received from Moses Eby the sum of two dolrs this is payment in full for Two Jugs received from me the past fall. Sold the best of the young hogs for $7.06. to Mr. Ruff Shoemaker Port Elgin to be delivered to him in Port Elgin alive.

Th 7th. This was the most remarkable day we have had this winter it commenced with a wind from the north. The thermometer standing 10 below Zero the storm gradually increased till about three in the Afternoon when it gradually subsided the thermometer indicating 20 below Zero.
F. 8th. James Davidson Three lbs of Port lard at Ten cents per lbs
