FEBRUARY TUESDAY 15 1876
Snowing a little & thawing
Go to Tannery at 8. {Dan?} & Frank putting thro balance of 100 Hides & hanging up. Get out another Carboy of Acid this AM John Carnochan come & I pay him $5404 bal of his a/c against Tannery, & pay him $10 on House a/c, & take Rx for both, give wife $500 more this AM, making in all $18 out of this month's pay.
FEBRUARY WEDNESDAY 16 1876
Go to Tannery at 8. stay all day. Pay Uncle John $200 to pay on my Life Insurance & I sign Rx for the profits. I pay John Co Ball $4 for a Hide he left at Tannery sometime ago & take Rx.
