AUGUST TUESDAY 15 1876

Go to Tannery at 7½ stay all day. Write Scadding about the Insurance on Tannery, $120. Ask him to send me sample of Tobacco by parcel post. See Flemming of Lewiston about Japonian & Valonia Go to Lewiston on City - this afternoon trip.


AUGUST WEDNESDAY 16 1876

Go to Tannery at 8. pay Webb $600 on a/c this month. Take 2 new packs in {Yard?} this forenoon. Take out and hang up in dry room 30 Hides this day: I call at office & get letter from Fanny Thompson. Get telegram from TP&Co to Ship McArthur 60 Hides. 2090# is the weight of above.
