Up at 7. Breakfast& go up to Scaddings office then to town & down to TS Tiers Store. Have hot words with Trus. Ed Scadding with me. Go to TP&Co tell CP about it. Pay Hewitt for Iow Trunk $425 C Parsons down to American this Eve'g Stays till 11½
get 5 # Tobbacco {tobacco} from Scadding @ $100 per #. dont pay him.
Receive from TP&Co Cheque for $75 at their office:
OCTOBER FRIDAY 27 1876
Return from Toronto this a.m. Go to Tannery at 8. Get Harness ready to ship tomorrow. Mrs The Str {steamer} Magnet aground at Queens Whf {wharf} as we come out. Pull her off. Mrs. Algier from Ashtubula Ohio, gets on our boat from the Magnet. I talk with her all the way over.
