July 1 for our layer at the church it is 30 feet one way 20 on the south end 16 on the North End 30 East & west side fine rain last night & this morning everything looks refreshed until 8 this morning I went to Young Ellen went with me Robert Beatty & me went to a staked out a piece of land Henery went to the mill for a
Henery helped Humph to pick Bark 2 went to Brockville & agreed with Mr Leroy for stones for Grandpa's grave John's & Mary Braden's John's is to be 18 Mary 9 Fathers to be the same as mothers he is look at it & make it the same came back to Robs at night fine day
3 came home all well & we went to the Rock for a load of shingles bought 5000 & 1/2
4 I went with Mr Matthews to Mr Darling's & Kears Henery went for a load of lumber
5 Henery went to a Bee of Mr Darlings to draw brick from Escott they raise a large building at the station in the afternoon I atended an agriculture meeting
6 the Revd Mr Gordon preached at night & a new minister in the morning Mr Matthews went to Shannonville
7 Henery drew 2 loads of lumber I went through the potatos Mr Matthews got home on the Express
8 Henery went to the Rock for shingles there is 23000 3/4 worked at the potatos
rained 9 fine rain last night & to day cleaned out the barn & fixed {illegible}
10 worked at the Barn & fixed the mower ready to mow rain so we did not begin 1
11 mowed about half the orchard it is very light I worked at the barn
12 began to mow in the Northwest corner field mowed about half of it it is very light
13 Revd Mr Matthew preached this morning no meeting in the afternoon there is a field meeting at Dulcimain
14 Henery Patione & his two hands helped me at the barn sheeting & shingling I work till noon Henery & me helped them till noon Henery raked the corner field in the {illegible}
paid (rest illegible} 15 Pationce & his hands helped me to shingle I had a kind of sunstroke at noon & could do nothing in the afternoon they got one side done all but the last 2 rows of the other 2 {illegible} done
