July 16 Henery drew in 2 loads of hay from the north field 1 from the orchard I put there in the west half of the big mow then Cornet helped him I am not able to do anything
rain 17 finished cutting the North field very heavy rain this afternoon the best & most rain we have had since April
rain 18 shingled part of the south side of the barn I had to come down from it with my head Henery raked part of the north field this afternoon rain to night
19 rain last night & this morning Henery & Ellen went to Gananoque took 9 bushel of wheat with them to the mill there is no grinding they brought it back with them they took Mr Matthews & Mr Gordon home with them
20 the Revd Mr Robinson preached in the morning & Mr Gordon at night
21 I went to Gananoque for the lid of the milk can they forgot it on Saturday Henery began to mow in the field below the house this morning he & the girls drew in 1 load of hay from orchard & 2 from the Northfield put them in the East half of the big mow fine day
22 raked & drew in one load at night mowed
23 put the load that we drew in yesterday in the little mow fine day finished cutting this side of the ditch
24 cut in the east side of the ditch or trees drew in one load put over the horses got 1 shoe on Jenny it was put on with a new kind of nails
25 went to Escott with 9 bushels of wheat got home by noon drew in one load of hay put it over the cow stable & one load in the New barn for the sheep rain at dark
rain 26 Henery cutting east of the Bull paster little rain this morning
27 the Revd Mr Matthews preached this morning & Revd Mr Delong at night
28 Henery & Mr A Cornet raked & drew in all that was in the field below the house Alick brought his horse & raked with it then they Bill & drew in I cut the north south half of the midle field rain to night
rain 29 cut part of the north half of the midle field Alick & Henery raked drew & raked in 3 loads of the north field this afternoon I was taken {illegible}
30 Henery cut part of the North field I was not able to do anything with {illegible}
31 Henery finished cutting the north field that is the last of our cutting & Drew in three loads {illegible} & Jennet helped I could do nothing
