23rd Fine Windy Rain 2 Boys here made a Pole for the Well Gordon Trowling Got Pickerel Pike Boys and Genie Fishing to night

24th Raining hard Gordon went to Cornwall Bought Plain square 2 Gimlets a concern for a Bench Rubber Coat and so on

26th Leander and Stanley to cutting march hay near the Mouth of Salmon River

27th Working at the Ditch Lewis here cut weeds on the Little Island south side warm Fishing Leander went to Dundee took a small Tub to Shetla

28th Fine Working at the Ditch Let the water Run Lucias for Butter some Rain this Evening made 15 coils of hay Front Marsh St Augustine Day

31st Last Day of August Fine high Wind Rained Fixing the shafts of the Cutter Gordon Grinding his Tools Taking up the Potato onions Water very Low

1st of September St Giles Day Hunting Begins in Lower Canada Fine John H John Morris Men Georges Girl Herbert Annie came sold 2 of the Pigs to Johnny 7 Sent 2 Fish to ----- Lucias for Butter

2nd Labor Day Went and mowed a small Stack made the first one Gordon crofsed took his Tools Fixed Fence at the stacks Lucias here for Butter
