Biography:
William’s diary begins the same year his father dies. He is living at home with his mother, and several siblings. While his older brother David is managing the farm, William seems to be assigned the task of record-keeper. After 1857 you can follow his activities in David’s diary. William gets tuberculosis, never marries and dies at the young age of 34.
