January, 1925. 9 Friday. Beautiful sunny winter's day. Walter took some pigs up to Geo. Noonau's this morning and this afternoon they were trying to saw wood with Elmo Kuig's {illegible}. Our company for supper - Mr. & Mrs. Norman Snider and Mr. Jno. Maurer. We went to Literary at Joe. Spier's tonight and the programme was very good. Eli Martin's house just below Elmira burned down this p.m. 10 Saturday. Fair. Walter killed a whopping big pig for Mr. Norris today 11 Saturday. Very cold and windy We went to Woolwich church & S.S. this p.m. and over to Norman Snider's at Floradale for tea. These people were also there - Mr. & Mrs. Augus Weber, Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Schmidt and Mr. & Mrs. Harold {Hooden?} and we had a very nice time. Dick Zuidewaart was here for tea.
