May, 1925. 4 Monday. Cloudy, cold & windy. Walter helped Ella with the washing this morning. Ella planted some more onions and radishes also beets this afternoon. Walters callers - Clayton Esh, Orviille Shautz and Henry Rees. Audrey was disking the back orchard. Noah Miller and Alfred Fromhold visited us tonight after tea. 5 Tuesday. Cloudy, cold & windy Ella did her ironing and planted the gladish bulbs and some peas and phlox. Vernon and Ella got some bush grounds and potted some slips. Aubrey & Walter sowed the peas and Vernon's Marquis wheat in the back orchards. Joe Lawson visited us tonight. 6 Wednesday. Cloudy cold & windy Mrs. George Snider was here this p.m. and we boiled soap. The men sowed the spelts today. Earl & Ella visited us tonight.
