Aunt Mattie and {between the lines it reads: Men cut first hay.} I walked out to Mrs Deans for tea. Sun July 23 13_ Fine but extremely warm. Aunt M and I at Mary Watsons for tea. Uncle, Aunt Nellie and Annie went down to the Firemen's funeral. {The diary entries continue on the next half page.
