Transcription

January Friday 1 1926 Made an excellent start in 1926 by spending the first three hours with Jean at a party at Cochranes. My first three dances were swell ones with Jean. Home at 4.20 making five hours sleep in three nights. Birleys here for New year's dinner. Good feed and retired early for a wonder. Saturday 2 Felt better after a good nights sleep and everything went O.K. all day. Alex and Uncle Tom went to town at night but returned early instead. Saw Barton girls down town in morning with their Dodge brothers. Sunday 3 Home from milk route around 12.30. Alex helped me with the bottles so we got everything cleaned up before dinner. Worked at books in afternoon fixed horses up for night, Then drove up home with "King" and later drove to Jean's. My first Sunday evening in 1926 a pleasant one with a ride in the Dodge.
