March, 1928 1 Thursday. Cold & stormy Norman Snyder shipped hogs for Walter at Elmira today. Walter is still in bed and seems worse than ever today. Harvey Reist is helping Vernon with the chores 2 Friday. Cold & stormy. We saw some crows this morning. Walter feels somewhat better. Harvey took a load of chopping to Floradale this p.m. 3 Saturday. Cold & stormy. Walter got up today at noon but feels quite weak. Harvey went home tonight. 4 Sunday. Fierce blizzard. Worst storm of the winter. No church service at {place?} 5 Monday. Cold & stormy. Vernon is doing the chores again. 6 Tuesday. Fine day. Ella did the washing. Mr. & Mrs. Lincolm Weaver, Doris, Howard & Lila visited us today and were here for tea. Harvey Reist took a load of chopping to Floradale and was here for tea too. Mrs. Emanuel Bowman died tonight at Floradale.
