March, 1928. 22 Thursday. Fine spring-like day. Cold wind blowing. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. Vernon got the wooden sap pails at Earl's and we cleaned them this p.m. {Llewellyn Trask?} called for his meat and sausage. 23 Friday. Fine day. Vernon got the pan and some more buckets at Otto's and he was back in the bush this afternoon getting a fire place made. Norman Miller spent the afternoon with him. Walter went to Elijah Bridge's sale this afternoon. 24 Saturday. Thunderstorm last night Very mild. More thunderstorms and rain tonight. Walter went to Goldstone this morning. Williard Weaver came down here and he & Vernon went to the bush this afternoon. 25 Sunday. Dreary, showery day. We didn't go to church today. Williard went home this afternoon. Noah Miller, Esther & Margaret visited us tonight.
