May, 1928 20 Sunday. Beautiful day. We went to Sunday school this morning and went to Augus Weber's at Waterloo for dinner. We went down with Charles Miller. 21 Monday. Sultry. Thunderstorms and heavy rains. The men were plowing this forenoon. Ella did her washing. Max Bierman was here for dinner. Enoch Schneider called tonight 22 Tuesday. Clear, cool & windy. The men plowed this morning and filled in a ditch this afternoon. Noah Miller spent the evening here. 23 Wednesday. Clear, cold & very windy The men were seeding. Ella started painting the kitchen woodworks. Vic's husband, Harold Hebel is very ill with acute pneumonia. 24 Thursday. Fine cool day. Walter shipped hogs. The mew were gangplowing this afternoon. Walter & Ella were down at Earl's tonight.
