July, 1928. 4 Wednesday. Hot day. Walter was scuffing and Vernon was cultivating the summer fallow Ella was picking strawberries in Schwindt's bush this afternoon. Vernon went over to Reists to see the eagle Harvey shot one day last week. 5 Thursday. Fine warm day. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira, went to Kitchener and arrived home at 8 p.m. Ella was hoeing in the garden this morning and picked berries this p.m. Mr. & Mrs. Augus Weber, Mr. & Mrs. Norman Snider and Chas. Miller spent the evening here. 6 Friday. Warm day. The men scuffed the potatoes & turnips this morning and pulled mustard this afternoon. Tonight we went down to church to the first Jubilee servive Rev. {Morlock?} preached and the Elmira choir gave rendered two anthems
