July, 1928 15 Sunday. Fair and cool. We went to church & S.S. this morning where Rev. Fiddles of the United Church preached. We went up to Grandpa Krauters and stayed for tea and brought home some black & white cherries. 16 Monday. Fine day. Walter cut the rest of the sweet clover this afternoon. Ella was canning cherries all day. Otto & Norman Miller visited us tonight. 17 Tuesday. Hot day. The men were hoeing mangels this forenoon Ella did the washing. This afternoon they brought in 6 loads of sweet clover Sam Horst helped this afternoon. 18 Wednesday. Fine day. Walter cut some grass this morning and Vernon was hoeing. This afternoon they brought in 2 loads of sweet clover. 19 Thursday. Rained last night. Cloudy & sultry. Walter shipped hogs. Robert Marshall was buried today.
