September, 1928. 16 Sunday. Beautiful day. Walter, Ella & Vernon went to Hilliard this morning and stayed all day. 17 Monday. Windy. Ella did the washing. Walter finished sowing the wheat. Mr. & Mrs. Henry Sherer and baby Norine and Peter Sherer of Goldstone visited us tonight. 18 Tuesday. Windy & cool. Walter took a load of flax to Floradale this morning and Vernon harrowed. This afternoon we went to the School Fair at {Woolwich?} school. Tonight we went to Elmira Mennonite church with Noah Miller and Ruth. Rev. Heiser of Fisher, Ill. preached. 19 Wednesday. Fair. Cold east wind Walter took another load of flax to Floradale this morning and Vernon harrowed. This afternoon they took up the potatoes. Walter & Ella went to ELmira Mennonite church tonight. Mr. & Mrs. Sim. Weaver and Charles Miller called here this evening.
