{A?} wonderful day for the Barker family's {annual?} expedition to the Canadian National Exhibition. Busy day at Bendemere, acting as truck driver {in?} afternoon. "Sheep Buyers" and {"White?} Washers" were here so we were {late?} getting through at night.

Wednesday 8

Another fine day. Up early and {made?} good time on milk route and was home by dinner time. Had a general clean up in dairy {in?} afternoon. Started to rain about {eight?} o'clock so retired early. Had {a?} short chat with Jean over phone at {noon?}.

Thursday 9

Started to rain early in the morning and rained until nearly noon then {it?} cleared up after dinner and turned {quite?} cold with a white frost at night. {Went?} to practice with Miss Easton {in?} her "Buick" but was home and {in?} bed shortly after ten o'clock.

September Friday 10 1926

Drove truck up to Geo Telfers after 4 bags of oats after dinner and then down after load of straw to Vanattes farm and got stuck in wet mud and straw near stack. Reception for Deans Cochrane but stayed home and retired early. Started on my 11th month at "Bendemere"

Saturday 11

Alex arrived in Paris at one o'clock so I drove truck up after feed and box. Helped unload Guernseys and also Gurney's Belgians. Drove truck to town at night and heard banjo players, singers, and magicians. Saw Jean for a minute and home at twelve o'clock.

Sunday 12

Light shower in morning when I was on the milk route. Jimmie and I had a sleep after we had washed bottles. Had a wonderful drive with "Jean" when we went up home and around the block. Home at {11.45?}.
