Mon 18th. Geo. intended going home to-night on 5:30 train but a very heavy thunder storm prevented him. Maria came down on that train and waited at Bronte station till after rain then walked home through the mud. She bot our summer dresses of ecru nun's vailing but left her parcels at station. and tells about his two little girls Alice (oldest) and Mary. who wanted to know when he was leaving. if he was coming to see "Lillte Midia" ? She says "My pa is a good man, ain't you pa? My pa is not a bad pa." to Alice who is her grandma's girl and comes in to play with Mary but who quarrel frequently.
