Current Page Transcription [edit] [history]

February Sunday 21 1926

Very frosty morning with thermometer registering 12 below zero. Met Mrs Findley for first time. Went up home for supper about five o'clock. Had a dandy time down at Jeans at night when I met Mrs. Midgely. Pleasent ride home with her afterwards. In bed at 1:45 AM.

Monday 22

Milder temperature but a raw wind blowing from the east made it feel colder than it actually was. Rather tired at night so retired at 9:30 and had a real sleep. Paris defeated Durham 3-2 in hockey game at Durham.

Tuesday 23

Lovely bright frosty day. Busy day as usual with milk route and dairy. Retired in good time after I fixed the horses up for the night. Dad and Mother had party for the older folks.

February Wednesday 24 1926

Very frosty morning. Hoar frosty so that when that when the sun came out the trees and landscape were very pretty. Received word from Mother about party on Friday night.

Thursday 25

Very sick at my stomach with dizzy spells when I first got up. Sprinkling at five o'clock but later turned and poured rain all day with strong wind. Alex took route in my place and I went to bed. Feel better at one o'clock so got up and went to work. Busy afternoon in dairy. Stopped raining early at night and turned colder.

Friday 26

Took a sleigh load of young people up home to a party. Had a great time and enjoyed some real dances with Jean. Bobbie came home with me and drove the team all the way. Arrived at Bendemore at four o'clock and found Fasken here doctoring a sick cow.
