September Monday 13 1926

Felt great after a good nights' sleep and with such a wonderful day. Alex went with me on latter part of milk route. Bobby Vanderlip started working at Bendemere. Drove Alex to town at night after his Chevrolet, in the truck.

Tuesday 14 Up at 5.15 A.M. Got load of milk ready for town, had my breakfast, got dressed and rode wheel up to Barkers. Five of us voted and then we motored to London Show in the Dodge. Dandy trip both ways and had a wonderful time with Jean. Helped milk and came home after Supper. Liberals won in Federal election by considerable majority.

Wednesday 15

Started to rain in morning and continued a share of the afternoon. Busy afternoon getting up steam and straightening out books. Found out that I lost my first vote of the day before when Smoke was elected by {155?} majority.

September Thursday 16 1926

Maybe it didnt rain early in the morning before daylight then it slackened up until about nine o'clock when it just poured down for an hour or more. Late getting through as Jimmie was threshing at Buchanans so went to roost right after supper.

Friday 17

Dandy warm night. Walked to Paris to Eleanors and then went to Party at May Apps in Jacks, Ford and had a very nice time. Very foggy coming home, chauffeur got lost and the "back seat driver" caused some excitement coming home. Wonderful ride home and maybe Jean didn't look sweet so how could I help loving her more than ever. U.F.Y.P.O Corn Roast at Leone Williams.

Saturday 18

Felt fine after the night before. Cleared up near noon and sun came out. Threshed rye stack at Vanatter farm and moved up here. Helped with milking at night and retired right after supper about 7.30.
