Frid 22nd.. Feb /89 Rather stormy. Snowing. In P.M. (Tommy our man) drove M.W. Annie & Jny to Sarah's to get Ida. Got back at 6. left Annie & bro't Ida. It very cold Mrs Foster here stayed all night.
Sat 23rd.. baking all A.M. Mrs Foster went home on 5 train. Dave called. It very cold below zero. Ida getting ready to go to Scarboro on Mon.
Sun 24th.. Feb. / 89. Went to S.S. & church sat in choir Bertha played Dave K went home with B. then he came up to our place for tea. Josh Hixon called to see if Pa would be pall bearer for his mother's funeral on Mon. 25th.. Joe came while he hear so had Dave & Joe for tea. Then Dave went directly after tea. Ida & I done the dishes. Two Marias went over to Hixons Joe talked to Pa until we done work. Then Joe & I went down in parlor after while heard bells. It was Philus Alton so Ida let him in. I had to go out for wood so spoke to him. But shortly Ida & Philus came down had a good sing then came out in room & talked until Archie & Annie came he went up to Stret for Annie. She said I had to go to Street so I got ready & went Joe drove with Archie to the top of hill then he got in our cutter. It dreadfully cold. Philus gave me his shawl to put around me. Had a great talk going up . It 1 Oclock Joe had to wake Alf up to get in.
Mon 25th.. Nice day but cold. Alf went to Hamilton to help with ice.
Tues 26th.. Philus came over in evening & S. had him instead of Alf.
Wed 27th.. Feb. S & I went over to Mr J. Altons in P.M. Stev. & Mary Ezard. there & baby. Had oysters for tea. got home early Neil Alton came in evening & helped {mind?} off yard until 11.
Thur 28th.. / 89. Just got dressed when who should drive up but Frank & Joe. Had a lively P.M. They played checkers. Philus & Gertie called to take us up to P.O. for a drive so S. went & I stayed with
