Frid 18th.. Oct. Sarah from H. very sick Emma waiting on her They got ready & went home at 11. Then S & I went to work at dining room I white washed it & {?} bedroom. I writing in this when Louise Alton & Phil & Gertie came over & I ran up stairs with book & hid it under bed & they all came running after me & shut us in bedroom & Phil hung his hat on nail which my night dress was on. Then we went down stairs & had some music & Louise got dancing so she had us all up dancing. I so tired to bed 10. I should have mentioned that Wed night last 16th.. that Mr Alton had a small party & invited us over, Miss Laura Springer Miss Susan Springer Miss Stuart, Miss Plethesson & Louise Gertie & I & Dave & Arthur & Phil were the boys we played games & had a big time. It 12 when it broke up & Phil came home with me & we talked about tobacco, but he not willing to promise faithfully to stop he would try with out.

Sat 19th.. Oct I finishing cleaning bedroom & pantry & it 3 P.M. B4 got through & I going to paint floor but couldn't get brush to work. Geo Alton called to get his hair cut then Wolsley Gertie & Louisa came & Gertie etc. put on Alf over coats buttoned up behind & went down to Geo Altons & found them all in bed but Maggie got up & lit lamp & we talked then Phil came, Louise just kept us all a laughing. We girls ran nearly all the way home from boys. Went in & had a sing & play then to bed 10.

Sun 20th.. Mr Alton over for a while in morn. S & I got ready & Alf drove is home to B. but I didn't bring any clothes for Sarah intended to stay instead. When got home wouldn't let me go again back with Alf. Archie Forfar hear over Sun. I went to S.S. & church. Only Ida Archie Pa & I for tea E.M. & Jane up to Blanchards. Evening so long us singing then I ready to go to bed when Dave came walked in so talked to him Ida & I till 10. Street folks expected me back there in evening as they expected company.
