April, 1928

3 Tuesday. Thunderstorms and rain this morning and again tonight. Mild day. Walter & Ella went up to Lincoln's old home and helped to burn up rubbish. Vernon was boiling syrup in thr bush.

4 Wednesday. Very mild day Walter went to Kitchener today and had his dinner at Edith's. Vic & Glen came up with him. Vernon was boiling syrup and Ella cleared some.

5 Thursday. Mild and showery Walter drove to Elmira in the wagon and took 3 pigs over to Oscar {Schinholtz?} and had his dinner there. Vernon was boiling syrup.

6 Friday. Good Friday. Mild and dreary. Walter and Glen went to Creekbank and Will {Knigs?} this morning and to Herman Ziegler and Grandpa Maurer's this afternoon. Vernon was boiling in the bush and ella cleared another batch
