Friday June 4
still quite cool out- getting warmer outside - fire in fireplace - none too hot. Practised about ½ hour in the Morning. Duncan came up to take the flag down and shot five blackbirds and hit two others. Mr. Caldwell went to Walkerton in the afternoon to see Mrs. Caldwell so had to go down to help Charles at the office. Put away flags. After tea I went over to call on Miss. Annie Milne. She was sitting up in a chair but looked pretty sick. She had been downstairs for the 3rd of June and got quite tired out.
Saturday June 5th
Did some letters etc. for Charles. Went down town (got orders ready) to Banks with S.S. Money and ordered supplies for next 3 months. Wrote account of June 3rd Parade for Enterprise (Both Mr. McDonald and Mr. Nolan away on Press Excursion) and took it down. After dinner went down for some ham to make lunch for Charles who goes to
