Sat Dec 13_ Verry {this word was written over another word, but it is unclear what that word was} stormy and extremely cold. all day.

Sun Dec 14_ The Thermometer up down to 10 below zero. A few cutters out on Yonge Street but not very good sleighing. I went to Fisherville. Auntie and Uncle at Mr Bales. Annie & Lizzie here for tea. Some say the glass down to 18 below

Mon Dec 15_ Fine and much milder, Pa's butchered eight pigs.

Tue Dec 16_ Rained early in the morning. very mild and all slushy.
