Wednesday

Forward

Fine sunny day warm at times, cool morning. N.S up all day hoeing turnips. We got {illegible} {cut / out?} and {fired / fried / fixed} up, Willie drove down got 50 lbs twine at Nichols on {op?} paid to Ellis $1.50 for what got July 15th also tea 40 cts. Mary down town PM at WF.W:S gave 25 cts she was {illegible} home. Willie cut most of the barley No 2 N. PM we stooked most of it up. Mrs Mackie over A.M for milk Britain declared war on Germany last night. Mary got egg money from Nellie 41.40 Jennie Sandham and children down at aunties.

Thursday

Fine sunny warm day. N.S. up at AM got sick a short time after dinner and went home. Willie took {illegible} sow down sold it to {Cameron?} 490 lbs @ {illegible} 2 $36.75 weighing {illegible} he paid Nichol $5.85 for twine got yesterday he got at F&S 5 bags bran 625 1.00 lbs wheat $2.00 1.00 lbs low grade flour $1.75 1.00 lbs shorts 140 5 bags flour $15:00 groceries $1.43 paid NS 10cts yesterday for {illegible} I hauled 6 wheelbarrow loads of manure from under evergreens to new orchard PM we finished cutting all the barley in No2 and stooked it up. Willie drove down home at noon for F & M but they didn't come up. We drove up to see cattle at night. Coal oil {illegible} 20 Andrew Scharis over at night got 2 more pigeons.

Fine sunny day very warm. We repaired binder canvass reels etc AM using
